The North Carolina Psychology Board has scheduled a meeting for November 7, 2019. This is the final meeting before the vote on moving forward with the proposed rule change 21 NCAC 54.2008, that will end career-long supervision for LPAs.
NCAPP, the petitioners, and the legal team will be represented at this meeting. The NCPA has expressed their opposition to this and we expect that their members will also attend this meeting and object to the proposed rule change.
We encourage ALL LPAs to join us at this meeting to show your support for this proposed rule change.
The meeting will begin around 9:00 am at:
Marriott Townplace Suites Hotel,
3304 Isler St,
Greensboro, NC 27407
We are at the precipice of a major change that serves all LPAs and the citizens of NC. Now is our time. Please come out and show your support to end this unjust restriction and detriment to those in need of mental health and wellness care in NC. Support letters can still be emailed to the NCPB at:
Comments2019@ncpsychologyboard.org
Please support this effort through joining NCAPP as a member and donate to the Independence Fund. We expect additional legal fees as we move through the next phases of making this a permanent rule change. We need your support that will benefit all of us.
See you in Greensboro!
