Membership

NCAPP believes every single Licensed Psychological Associate in North Carolina ought to be among its members. We encourage faculty and students in psychology master’s programs to join us as well.

Standard Memberships are $45. Retired practitioners and psychology students may join for $25. Memberships continue through our fiscal year-end, June 30.

Click this link to complete the Membership Application online. Once you submit your completed form, you will see a page with instructions for paying your dues online using your credit or bank card, or by mailing a check or money order to NCAPP.

If you prefer, you may apply for membership by mail by downloading, printing and completing our Membership Application by hand. Mail the form with your dues payment by check or money order to the address on the form.

Membership in NCAPP offers you and your fellow master’s-level psychologists your best chance to participate in and influence the decision-making process that affects all our careers and determines access to our services by the citizens of North Carolina.

Among the many other benefits of membership:

You Become Part of the Solution to Longstanding, Serious Problems

Who knows better than we do the value of acting in our own self-interest? It’s the emotionally healthy, empowering thing to do.

And who among us, drawn as we all were to a helping profession, would hesitate to advocate on behalf of people who need us and could benefit from our services?

When you join NCAPP, you effectively stand up for yourself, your chosen profession and the people you serve. Your membership represents a positive, proactive step forward toward better care for your clients and a better future for yourself and your colleagues.

You Can Assume a Leadership Role

You don’t have to be a long-time member to be a leader in NCAPP. Of course, some of the most active NCAPP members have been part of the organization for many years, but there are limitless opportunities for brand new and previously inactive members to get involved meaningfully, immediately, at whatever level you choose.

We are actively seeking fresh ideas and initiative. Join our board. Head a committee. Write to a legislator. Lead a grassroots effort in your community. Lend your voice to ours so we can be heard.

You Receive a Discounted Member Rate for Our Continuing Education Workshops

Our continuing education workshops have long been valued for their quality, relevance and benefit. As an NCAPP member, you attend at a reduced rate.

You Have Opportunities for Networking with Your Colleagues

LPAs of all interests, backgrounds and levels of experience are distributed throughout the state, in a variety of publicly-funded and private work settings. Your membership in NCAPP effectively connects you with them. Through the NCAPP web site, email messages, conference calls and face-to-face encounters, you build professional relationships, share common interests and concerns and develop rewarding friendships.
