Your Chance to be Heard

The conversation between members of NCAPP and NCPA is continuing to explore possible options to resolve the issues that have divided us so long, specifically the issues related to independent practice at the LPA level. We have decided to send out a joint request to the members of both organizations for current input and opinions.

It has been many years since we last tried to navigate this territory, and many things have changed in the mental health field, which the board members at NCAPP feel may have shifted people's perspective about the issue. But we won't know until we hear from the members of both groups.

So be on the lookout for a letter and request for input that's scheduled to be sent via email. We really do want to know what people are most concerned about and what they are less invested in so that we know what to give on and where to remain firm.

NCAPP Fall Workshop Sells Out

In conjunction with Northwest AHEC, NCAPP sponsored a fall workshop on legal and ethical issues in starting a private practice on November 11th in Winston-Salem. Mr. Jack Clement, one of the founding members of NCAPP, presented information about the ins and outs of setting up an office, billing, and maintaining records to a sold out audience.

In addition to earning those important legal/ethical credits, this workshop was a great opportunity to meet other LPAs. NCAPP plans to sponsor additional workshops and would love your input on topics that are important to you.

Jack Clement presents an informative program at NCAPP's workshop.

Doctorate Tips

Is anybody out there currently working toward their doctorate? We would love to hear from you about your experience and any tips you might have about obtaining a Ph.D. in a cost effective manner. Send your information and feedback to us on Facebook Like us on Facebook.
